Confusion

Have you ever gotten to that point where you have been trying to update so many different people about so many different things that you’ve forgotten who you talked to about what?

Yeah. I’m there.

We’re doing all right here. Nick and David have both been asleep for a couple hours now (yes, I know it’s a weird time of day for that) and it’s been incredibly nice. I’ve actually caught up on reading my e-mail without deleting mass quantities of it unread. YAY! That never seems to happen anymore. I’ve also been tidying up my online accounts and such, deleting/unsubbing from things I’m no longer interested in and adding stuff that’s more me.

I still have to clean up all the dead fire ants. They seem to be just about everywhere–they wandered the house as they died. The ones in the bathroom are going to be the hardest, as they are stuck between the baseboard and the row of carpet tacks and the broom doesn’t really do much. I’m waiting on the dustbuster to recharge from it’s earlier cleaning fest (CRUMBS! I hate crumbs on the couch.)

I just signed up for NaNoWriMo. I’m just a bit excited about it. I know it’s an insane time to be doing it (as we may be moving), but it just seems like the time to do it. I’ve been having many writerly thoughts lately, and I do have that dictation software installed…

More news on Nick’s interview: It’s on Monday at 10am at Howe-Baker. The company’s been around a while, the benefits sound like they might be good, and it could be stuff Nick likes to do (he’ll find out during the interview).

I’ve had 44 ounces of Dr. Pepper in the last 4 hours, which may not sound like a lot over time, but considering that I don’t normally have any caffeine during the week…EEK! I’m hoping the bounciness lasts until I get a little further on the scrapbook I’m working on.

Well, I finally woke up enough to get out of bed and stuff and then David went back to sleep. Itโ€™s not fair. ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

Yesterday afternoon I made pancakes for the first time. Nick thought I was insane, but they turned out really good.

I intended to write last night, but I ended up with a migraine and instead spent the evening lying on the couch moaning. I woke up without a migraine, but I feel another one coming on. I need to go back to the doctor and get real drugs for this. Bleh.

Iโ€™m thinking about making some scrambled eggs for breakfastโ€ฆwhich is weird because I hate scrambled eggs. The whole apt smells like them this morning though, and itโ€™s a nice smell somehow. *shrugs* I canโ€™t help it, Iโ€™ve been weird about food this week.

I have a ton of things to do today (most of which I intended to finish yesterday, but the whole MGT and Best Buy thing took way too much time).

-wash, dry, fold, & put away laundry
-bills
-clean up the four piles oโ€™ stuff (mostly paperwork) in the living room
-clean the kitchen
-make more baby food
-return too small baby stuff to Target
-go to post office

Yay. That doesnโ€™t sound like a lot though, does it? Hmm. Feels like a lot. Specially those four piles. Iโ€™ve been avoiding them for about a week now.

Horns=Luck?

Thought for the day: Wearing horns masks even the worst of hideous haircuts.

In other news, my writing group tonight decided that I’d had good enough luck all day that I ought to buy a lottery ticket, which I’ve never done before. So, me and my little horns wandered into a convenience store and asked directions of two very amused African American gentlemen on how to buy a lottery ticket and fill out the form. ๐Ÿ™‚ dododo

The good luck I’d had today was mostly about food. For breakfast, I had cinnamon streusel. For lunch, pepperoni pizza. For dinner, a yummy sandwich from The Great Outdoors. For dessert, chocolate chip cookies and chocolate cake.

Mmmm…a very excellent food day (doesn’t quite make up for the almost two weeks of bad food days, but quite happy nonetheless).

Printing Woes

My printer doesn’t love me. It always messes up when printing the second side of things. Grr. This makes me angry. At least the baby is asleep…don’t have to worry about him. I’m very happy that this font is printing out better than the last time I printed something that appeared this way on the screen–that time I couldn’t read the printout no matter how I tried.

I don’t feel like I have energy to do critiques though. Usually I look forward to new stories to read. *sigh* These are both long ones, using up all my white paper. Need to buy more. *adding to grocery list*
